Khaith
was a feral kitten that plowed his way into our home when he was
about three months old. He is now a handsome guy that absolutely loves
water. When he was little enough, he would take his naps in the sink,
with the water dripping on his back. He absolutely loved it. Now that he
has grown too big for the sink, he depends on me to allow him in the
bathroom with me when I take my shower. Usually he will jump in the
shower with me, but when he doesn't feel like it, he will sit at the
edge, pawing at the splashing water. When I give one of my dogs a bath,
and I leave the water (pretty deep, in a cat's point of view, since our
dogs are a medium size) in the tub, Khaith will jump in, taking a swim
in the tub (since the water is over his head).
Not only does he like water, but he loves the vacuum cleaner. Someone
will be vacuuming the couch or something, and this dude will just lie
there, waiting you to vacuum his belly. It's quite humorous to watch.
He usually acts like a dog most of the time, since his two favorite
playmates are a pug/rat terrier mix and a whippet mix. Khaith usually
sleeps under the covers at night, and curls right up next to the dogs,
purring like a motor until he falls asleep. He is one of the most vocal
cats I have ever seen. You can carry on long conversations with this
guy. He will meow for any reason at all or no reason at all. He also
answers to anything you call him, though he really prefers Khaith.
He is quite the character. He randomly has mood swings where he will go
from a sweet, laid-back cat to a raging madman that runs around the
house attacking anything. He will poof up and make himself look
humongous. He also watches television a lot. He will just set below the
TV and stare up at it, sometimes attacking it.
Basically, he is one wicked cat that has a cool personality.
