About Us
Taz, the Cat of the Day
Name: Taz
Age: Four years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Shorthair
Home: San Juan, Puerto Rico

This is Taz Leonardo Gonzalez Mendez. He has a sister, Amanda and a brother Bambi. They were all abandoned in front of a mall when they were four or five weeks old. They could barely walk and Taz was the smallest and the uglier looking of them all. Now he is a beautiful, lean cat with shiny hair, little shedding and a bathing obsession because if he is not sleeping, he is bathing. He has a very peculiar way of sitting on his back like a person so he can clean his tummy and legs in an easier way.

He is the Alpha Male of the house because everyone in the house, except for Amanda, is afraid of him. Although he has never lived on the street, he has street smarts and he does as he pleases, be it sleep in the bed of the master bedroom or give "sopapos" (little hits with his paws) on the legs of whoever makes him angry or ignores him when he wants attention. He will "hunt" you if you really make him mad or if he is in a playful mode. On the other hand, he is a very loving cat who will beg for yogurt and canadian bacon, who loves ribbon as a toys, flowers and hugs (as long as you put him back on the floor in less than five seconds), and who is afraid of squeaking dog toys, vacuum cleaners and the garbage truck.
