This
is my buddy and his name suites him to a "T"…Big. He is one of
the largest cats I have ever seen and he thinks he is more human than I
am. He loves to be picked up and cradled like a baby, rocked back and
forth while rubbing his tummy. In the mornings you will find him
perched on my bathroom sink watching me get ready for work, waiting for
me to bring out the blow dryer. Once I start blowdrying my hair he is
quite vocal about having his own hair tussled with the warm air from the
dryer. I bring out the round brush and give him a Professional look for
his busy day ahead of eating and lounging in the sunbeams.
Recently he has decided that he enjoys being vacuumed, I pull out the
brush attachment and he dramatically (he really should go into acting)
throws himself to the floor, spread eagle, waiting for me to vacuum
every inch of him, a trusting cat to say the least. Speaking of
throwing himself to the floor, he does this at the feet of all my
houseguests, making out like he hasn't had scratches in years. Big
enjoys laying with my son and I at story time but if he feels that you
are too much into the book and are not giving him enough attention, he
will creep up and lay his massive body across your face, as if to say
"Here I am - pet me."
We are Big's third (and final) home, he came to us from a friend of a
friend who was too busy to give him the time and love he so rightly
deserves. He has now been with my son and I for two years and we couldn't
imagine home without him.
