Hello
there,
My name is BeeBee. I am an all-white, female cat with beautiful big
baby-blue eyes. My owners adopted me from a farm two years ago. I don't
remember much of it, but my owners told me that I was covered in fleas
and had a bad infestation of ear-mites - yuck!! It took them weeks to
eventually get rid of all those nasty bugs. Well I am in excellent
health now thanks to my loving owners.
I don't like to talk about this much, but I have a bit of a personality
problem. I am the kind of cat that hates being picked up, and when
someone snatches me up I complain about it to them. I voice my opinion
a lot to my owners. They think it's comical, but I don't. I get annoyed
with them at times because they are always at me, wanting to hold me,
have me on their lap. etc. etc. etc. but I really hate that! I am
getting better now though because recently I have experienced how it is
to feel left out.
You see, my owners adopted another cat. His name was Max. He tried his
very best to get along with me, but I didn't want anything to do with
him at first. Soon enough we became good friends, but I was a little
jealous of him because I saw just how lovable he was with my (our)
owners. He would give them kisses, and loved to be close to them and be
on their lap. It made me feel sick at times. As Max grew up, he was
getting a little too rambunctious and tried his luck many many times
with our owners by destroying anything that could fit in his mouth. It
got to the point where he would get me into trouble because as a cat, I
like to play, so play with Max I would do. I can't help that - it's just
an instinct or something I guess. However, Max would at often times,
during our play time together of tearing through the house, would get a
little too rough for my liking. He would beat on me, bite at me in any
place he felt like which would hurt, so I would hiss, spit and growl at
him to make him stop, but, he just wouldn't listen. He was a bad, bad
cat. So eventually, after many long discussions on what to do with him,
my owners decided to give him away to a one-cat-only family. It was a
sad moment for all of us, but in a way I am glad. I now have my owners
all to myself and I am starting to really appreciate them. I interact
with all of them now and talk to them as much as I can. I enjoy sitting
in their lap (sometimes - not always, but I'm working on that!).
My owners have taught me a neat trick. They started teaching me as a
young kitten. They also taught Max this same trick - he caught on to it
pretty fast. You see, they tell me to lay down, I lay down and then I am
given a treat. How cool is that! The way I would lay down is, I would
kind of be sitting with my legs tucked under - and be like a princess
(which was actually what my owners were going to call me at first, but
they ended up calling me BeeBee). Anyway, when Max would do it, he would
just slump to the floor as if he collapsed or something. My owners found
that funny. He would be minding his own business, and my owners would
say, "Max! Lay down" and down he would go. Stupid cat! HaHa! Since Max
left, one of my owners trained me to lay down properly in the same way
that Max did, but without the falling over / collapsing thing. I do it
pretty good now. I just go down like I used to, then I just roll over on
my side. Sometimes I get confused and just sit there, wondering where
the hell is my treat!
I have a favorite toy mouse that I just love to play with. I will
refuse to touch anything else but this mouse. My owners have bought me
numerous toys to play with over the last couple of years, but nothing
matches up to my mouse. I will occasionally lose it under the couch. I
used to cry for it for hours, but now I am little more mature about
losing it. I know what my owners are saying when they mention the word
"mouse". They will ask me where my mouse is, so I will tell them in my
language that it's under the couch. They will then move the couch out of
the way and get it out for me. I will play with that thing for hours
sometimes. I just love it! My owners have taught me to play fetch with
it. They throw it and I will chase it, pick it up and bring over to them
so they can throw it again. I love that game. It tires me out though
after awhile.
Anyway, that's my story. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as my
owners enjoyed typing it out for me (they haven't taught me to use the
computer yet - I'm just waiting for that day to come!)
Take care,
Love BeeBee
