Dolly
always hits her litter box, is easy on the furniture, content to
stay inside, death on bugs, likes to chase and be chased. She was twelve
weeks old in the photo, but is two years old now.
I'm sorry, but Dolly does not do cutesy-wutesy cat things. She soaks
up affection like a sponge and purrs like a chain saw in return, but she
does not initiate affectionate acts. She does not jump into your lap,
and if not being actively petted, will not remain there for more than a
few seconds. She is disdainful of cat treats and will not be bought off
that way. She has not yet met a smelly canned cat food that she will eat
for more than a couple of bites, preferring instead her dry Purina ONE
Special Care. Not that she is crazy about it, but she will eat it.
One of her uncanny traits is the ability to predict which chair I am
going to sit in next, and to curl up in it and go to sleep just before I
get there. She is also fond of stretching out across the top of the back
of my computer chair and monitoring my web surfing.
However, she is very ordinary-cat-like in her silly susceptibility to
dangling strings, rolled-up paper balls, and boxes with holes cut in them.
