This
is our special family member, Tigger. Tigger came from a litter of
nine kittens! But the twist in the story is that there were two mother
cats. Two sister cats became pregnant at the same time, and the first
one had a litter of five kittens, and her sister, had her own litter of four
kittens the very next day. The family who owned the two mom cats said
that all nine kittens, would nurse from either mom, whichever one had
more room I guess! So, we really don't know which one was Tigger's mom,
since his siblings and cousins all nursed together!! Tigger was the
runt of the litter, and would repeatedly have his head stepped on by his
siblings and cousins while trying to eat!! Well, we fell in love with
him instantly, since he was the only little kitten who seemed calm and
quiet, and was happy to just be held and cuddled. Now he is a happy
healthy member of our family, but his quiet calmness has diminished,
since he will sometimes run from one end of the house to the other - at
lightening speed - with no warning!! His love of cuddling has also
changed somewhat, since it has to be his decision when to cuddle, and
we must just be happy with his decision once he has made it!! Yes, he
has his own style, but we love him, and wouldn't have him any other way!
