Sammy
came as a stray, into the shelter where I worked. He was labeled
as "difficult" right away, because he bit the vet the first day. I was
sure he was ill, but it turns out he was just emaciated and scared. I
quickly developed a connection and a love for him, beyond the
comprehension of my coworkers. He was going to be put down because no
one except me could handle him. After spending many hours earning his
trust, I decided to adopt him in order to save his life. I was worried
bringing a third male cat into the household, but it worked out
perfectly. All of my boys love each other, play together, and sleep with
me. Now this "unadoptable" cat cuddles in my lap and looks deep into my
eyes and talks, as if to say thank you.
