We
got Tobi (a Tabby) when she was nine weeks old from a barn, the day
before my knee surgery. Three weeks later we adopted Jax (Tuxedo Long
Hair) at six weeks old from the SPCA. We love them so much!!! They have
different personalities but are both extremely caring, loving and
affectionate.
Tobi has an obsession with water. She loves sitting in all of the sinks
and anytime you run water, she is there! We have a real wreath that we
put on the counter until we buy a hanger...she sits in it all the time.
She loves it! The wreath is matted down on one side now, ha ha. She
loves paper wads...she fetches and retrieves them just like a dog. She
also sits up all of the time like a "circus kitty" and waves. She is
the thoughtful, caring, understanding baby.
Her likes: water, countertops, paper wads, toys.
Her dislikes: vacuums.
Her hobbies: sitting in the sink, retrieving paper wads, polishing mirrors and windows (she wipes her paws on them).
Her goal: is to be a circus kitty, she always stands up and waves to get your attention.
Jax is obsessed with being a bodyguard. He follows my husband
everywhere!! He loves to take all of the cotton balls from the bathroom
and scatter them around the house. He also loves lying on his back with
his legs spread. He is the fluffy, goofy, affectionate baby.
His likes: food, treats, cotton balls, toys.
His dislikes: cellophane bags (had an incident with one stuck to his foot).
His hobbies: placing cotton balls throughout the house, grooming Tobi,
waking us up for work by licking our face.
His goal: is to be a bodyguard to my husband, Ernie. Every morning he
gets up with him and waits for him by the bathroom door, then runs ahead
of him down the stairs to thwart away any attackers, then continues to
follow him around until he leaves for work.
They are buddies - playing and licking each other all of the time. Life
would not be the same without them!! This photo, which I love, we call
"Don't forget to wash behind your ears!"
