Tiki's
from Wakefield, MA and loves to give kisses. She was diagnosed
with severe gum disease when she was a kitten. She had big lumps in her
throat and her breath stunk really badly! After many tests and surgery
(she had half her teeth pulled, but don't worry, she eats just fine),
she's now a very happy kitty with excellent breath. She's the best cat
I've ever had and she's smart too!
Tiki's really a character. She bosses around our 80-lb dog, but gives
her kisses too - she gives everyone kisses! She loves to play and hang
out in our bay window, sunroom, her little hammock, our bed, lots of
places, , basically, every place is hers, but she's so sweet, no one
can deny her. She even sleeps on my pillow at the top of my head at
night. She wraps her front paw around my neck and gives, yep, more
kisses. She never scratches anything but her scratch posts and always
uses her litterbox - she's very neat. She's got her own little language
going on too - pretty funny. The last time I took her to the vet, she
met a newly adopted cat the vet's office had taken. This cat comes
around and greets everyone. When it was Tiki's turn, I was interested to
see what she would do, if she would hiss, spit or back up from the
newcomer, but she did nothing of the sort. She's never behaved badly.
She came right up to the end of her carrier and tried to nose the cat
and give her a kiss. My heart sunk and I knew right there what I had to
do - find Tiki a playmate. She had a playmate when she was younger.
She's always trying to play with the dog and gives her kisses, trying to
mother her in a way, but the dog's old and doesn't really want to be
bothered with her.
Since that last vet visit, I've been on a search for the perfect breeder
and I finally found her. I can't wait to see how happy she'll be with a
little friend to talk to, play and lounge with, mother and yes, give
more kisses to! Don't get me wrong, she's a very happy cat now, but
we're both at work during the day - I'd love to have a playmate for her
24/7 - she so deserves it!
