Smiles
the cat was abandoned with her brother and left on the front
steps of the Chittenden County Humane Society in Vermont. She was then
transferred to a local PetSmart for adoption. She was shivering when we
found her there and we knew that she needed to be adopted. Her name at
the time was "Smiley" but she also goes by "Sophie", "Smiles", and
"Smiles the Cat". When we brought her home, she was scared at first,
but then started showing off some of her neat tricks. She loves to play
fetch like a dog. We will throw her random objects and she will pick
them up with her paws, put them in her mouth, and carry them back to us.
She also loves playing Hide and Go Seek. If you look at her and then
run out of the room, she'll come and find you no matter where you are
hiding. She likes to sleep under the covers and occasionally will sleep
on her back with her font paws in the air. The best part about her is
the white patch of hair below her nose that makes her look like she's
smiling. Some people say it even looks like a mustache, but she's
definitely smiling!
