My
name is Bri. You may think I look a little odd wearing clothes, but
three years ago, I got in a fight with a Brown Recluse Spider, and the
spider won. The skin between my shoulder blades was severely damaged by
the spider and I have had three surgeries to try and repair my damaged skin.
After wearing a cone on my head for a year and ace bandages around the
back of my neck, my owner decided to start buying baby onesies and cut
the bottom off so that I can wear them as a T-shirt. This helps remind
me that I have a very itchy neck, and that I should not scratch it,
because when I do, I cause a lot of damage to my neck with my rear
claws. I have been to several doctors that have tried to help prevent
the itchiness, but unfortunately medicine does not help. The shirts, do, though.
I also love to wake my owner in the morning by sneaking up on her bed
and reaching out my paw to tap her nose. When she opens her eyes, I
make a cute little squeak and roll around so that she knows it is time
to get out of bed and spoil me rotten! Lately I have been having
trouble breathing, so my owner took me to see the doctor again. My
heart is in pretty bad shape and everyone is very concerned. I know
that my owner will do what is best for me and I love her even more for
that. I am enjoying every minute I have with her and all the extra tuna
she feeds me.
