Vixen, the Cat of the Day
Name: Vixen
Age: Fifteen months old
Gender: Female
Kind: Domestic Long Hair
Home: Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada

This lovely little lady is Vixen. And don't let her sweet looks fool you she is a wild child. We got Vixen at the age of five weeks when her momma refused to feed her any longer. Vixen had a very bumpy start. She was the kitten of a friend of the family's cat. When her momma gave birth to her, she buried her in the blanket where she had her and left her to die. She took her other kitten and moved him to another place where she nursed him. The lady who owned the mother cat happened to take the blanket to throw it away, and out rolled little Vixen, just a few hours old! The mother cat wanted nothing to do with her. After several attempts at getting momma to feed Vixen, the cat's owner had to get forceful with her and make her feed Vixen, otherwise she was going to die. She eventually accepted feeding her, and Vixen began to grow but was very tiny. At five weeks old momma completely stopped feeding both babies, and would not feed them no matter what. We brought Vixen home and for the next three weeks supplemented her food with kitten milk. She thrived on this and grew quickly.

She is still a tiny cat but very healthy and happy. She is completely wild and loved to climb as high as she can get. This means door frames and to the very top of the cat tree which reaches the ceiling. She goes crazy at least four times a day and zooms through the house like a madman, or madkitty in her case. There is never a dull moment with her. She loves her sister Lilith who is eight weeks older than her, but much, much bigger. And she gives her the whatsfor at least several times a day. She is spunky and playful and super-loving when she wants to be. She's a little bundle of energy and fun. She makes things in our home very interesting to say the least. Life would not be the same without her. And she helped turn her daddy into a cat person. He couldn't live without them now, and adores both his girls to no end. Vixen is a smart and funny little lady and this is why we love her so very much.
