Sydney
is a 'cream self' British Shorthair kitten. As I am disabled, he
is great company for me and gives me great joy every day! After having a
cat, Tibby, who died at the age of 21 years, my home did not feel
complete anymore so I thought I would choose a pedigree and I found a
breeder not far from where I lived. My partner and I brought him home at
twelve weeks old and we couldn't believe how much he settled in on his first
day! He was playing almost immediately and was soon on my lap, purring
away.
What would strike one most about Sydney is that he is full of character.
The British Shorthair is often described as a quiet cat but not this
little fellow - he has a noise for everything, very expressive you could
say, and when he is sleeping, he sometimes snores, which is so cute! The
expressions on his face are amusing. He is frisky and excitable and will
carry his toys from room to room and drop them by you so that you will
play with him. A favorite toy is the plastic plug top that you get with
new appliances. I would recommend those to anyone with a young cat!
Sydney loves being out in the garden and loves the Summer when we sit
out with him and he can show off to us. If there is a blue bottle or
large fly in the house, he will entertain us by catching it, playing
with it and then finish off by eating it for a tasty snack!
Sydney absolutely loves attention and company. He is a delight to anyone
that meets him, as he always comes over to greet someone new. There's
only ever been one person he didn't take to - the decorator, so we won't
be having him again! Maybe it was his high prices and cutting corners
that Sydney didn't, like us, approve of. So he's a good judge of
character!
Sydney is like a soft, plush cuddly toy and we couldn't be without him!
The vet summed him up for us. She said, "Isn't he a beauty?" and isn't
he just?
