My
Harley-baby is the sweetest, prettiest, most snuggleable... well, I
could go on and on! She was at the local animal shelter and had been
there for quite a while when I went by to look at cats. I couldn't
believe such a beautiful girl wasn't already snatched up! She was so
sweet and purred instantly--and who could resist those beautiful blue
eyes! I just had to have her--much to my husband's dismay.
It was interesting, though, that when I got her from the shelter, she
was light-gray coated with striped legs and tail... then a few months
later, she looked very striped all over. She's still the cutest kitty
in the world! I just love her white eye-liner :-)
Harley knows her name well, and the various intonations behind it too.
She plays catch with her stuffed mice and bottle rings, loves to drink
out of the sink faucet and lick the bathtub, and is the most athletic
cat in the house. She is also the youngest at four years old. We have three
other female cats: Kira - a large white and gray (18+ pounds), seven years old;
Sandy - an old sickly Tabby of fourteen I inherited from a friend; and Bibi - a
sweet, deaf old Tabby of fifteen I also inherited from that friend.
Harley is a Mama's girl and greets me every day when I get up, follows
me around the house, sits on my lap, helps me dress (or do whatever!),
gives me kisses, and greets me when I get home. She can always perk me
up after a long day. It didn't take long, either, to have her Daddy
wrapped around her cute little stripey paw. She's hard to resist!
