I
adopted Abigail (Abbie for short) through a pet rescue group when she
was nine months old. I fell in love with her immediately; how could I
resist that cute pink nose? Abbie was found in a box in a city park,
starved, and abandoned, with a litter of kittens. She was very shy of
people, but quickly became great friends with Mr. Crystals, my
awesome, talkative male Siamese.
Now that Abbie is "home", she's become very sweet, playful and truly
looks happy. And, although she still doesn't like to be held, she comes
around daily for a quick snuggle and a bit of scratching under her
chin. I am still working to get her over an eating issue (extreme
overeating then vomiting); a result, I suspect, of being starved. I'm
certain with a lot continual love and attention she will get over this
soon. I know I was very blessed to have found Abbie. She and
Mr. Crystals are both my precious babies!
