Katrina
was adopted from an abusive family when she was two. Now over
eighteen, she still has energy like a youngster.
When we first got Katrina sixteen years ago, she was very afraid people due
to her abusive past. It took many months of working with her before she
really warmed up and gained any confidence.
As you can tell in the picture, she shows her confidence and has done a
complete 180. She sleeps in my arm every night. She does not leave my
side when I am home, and she loves to be the center of attention when we
have friends over.
She is very talkative and never forgets to remind you that its feeding
time. Katrina is very much on the same routine with my husband and I.
We get up at 4:30am during the week. When Saturday and Sunday come,
unfortunately, she still gets us up at 4:30am... if we want to or not. I
am very lucky to have had a chance to make a difference with Katrina. I
truly know she appreciates her great life.
