Bonita
is an amazing family pet. She came to us when she was a young
kitty - she was lost and living in the milk-room of my little sister's
kindergarten. We decided to name her Bonita because she was so
beautiful. She's the world's sweetest cat and would never hurt a
fly - she even lets little girls dress her up in baby-doll clothes
without making a fuss. She loves to cuddle with the family in their
beds, picking a different person every night, and to drink fresh water
from the sink. She also loves playing in cardboard boxes and in the
tissue and wrapping paper on Christmas and birthdays. Her favorite
snack is deli style turkey lunchmeat.
One time, Bonita got lost for about a month. It was February, cold and
rainy, and the family put up posters all over town, even miles away.
They were all completely heart-broken. Then she was miraculously found,
thin and scared and trying to make her way home. She has been
extra-coddled ever since. Everyone who has ever known her has loved her
and is convinced that she must be an angel in disguise. Her love and
loyalty for her family has been incredible, through all the ups and
downs of ten years. A photo could never do justice to her beauty.
