Goblin
is my wonder kitty. My husband and I found him (and his brother
and sister and another kitten who didn't make it) in the wheel well of a
car when they were about three weeks old, clearly abandoned and starved
half to death. When we brought them inside, my dachshund, Elvis, licked
all three kittens clean, and we ran to the pet store to get formula and
bottles. Poor Goblin was the most malnourished and we feared for his
life for the first week. However, with regular feedings and "playing
mommy cat," his tummy got big and he soon started to crawl and began to
explore and be playful. No one wanted to get attached to him because we
were afraid he was going to die but I couldn't give up on the little
guy. He slept in the crook of my neck every night (and he still sleeps
there too!) and we bonded and now we belong together forever. Even
though he was the smallest kitten, he became the biggest one out of the
litter, weighing in at a whopping 15.5 pounds! He likes hanging out in
the sink, as you can see. I'm glad every day that we found those kittens
and that Goblin is my furry baby.
