I've
longed for a cat since I was a child, and when at
the end I decided to adopt one, I found the best cat I could think of. I
had asked to one of our neighbors to have one of the next-to-born
kittens of her cat. I saw Penelope the very first morning of her life
and she let me pick her up with no problem, trying to climb over my
T-shirt with closed eyes. The weeks I had to wait for her to be old
enough seemed never ending, but at last she became part of my family.
She is a really active cat, she loves spending time in the garden
sleeping under flowers or trying to chase little birds, mice or anything
else. Penelope loves spending time with us too, after dinner she usually
sleep on my father in front of the tv. She hates being left alone in the
house, she always wants someone with her.
Now that I have gotten married and moved into a little flat, my parents
refused to let Penelope come with me and my wife. We are really missing
her a lot, and when sometimes she comes to spend some days with us, our
house is a little bit warmer. We really love Penelope and we know that
she really loves us, she is really good at demonstrating this.
