We
got Debbie at eight weeks old. Just couldn't walk past her cute little
face. She's a sweet girl who's not always keen on being picked up or
petted. She does drop to the floor and roll over for belly rubs but just
as your hand almost touches her she makes a giggly trill sound and zips
a few feet away. Oh well, it's hard to pet the wind!
Debbie's favorite activity is to go out in the back yard and try to
catch moths. The white fur on her face turns a powdery dark gray from
moth dust. She also tells us every day when it's exactly 5:15 and that
she's expecting dinner now. She doesn't meow very often tho, she makes
more of a chirpy sound when she wants something.
Debbie has a skin condition called eosinophilic the makes her mouth have
sores or sometimes her inside back legs lose some fur and feel rough. Dr
Espey at Crain veterinary takes very good care of her. She has to get a
shot about one a month and eat a special prescription food. She so badly
wants a bite of the forbidden people food. The item she wants most is
angel food cake. I try to let her have a bite every few months even tho
she probably shouldn't have it.
We got littermate Kevin the same day we got her. They wrestle and run
thru the house but he's so much bigger than her that she tires of the
games pretty fast. We love Debbie even with her gazillion dollars in vet
bills! She's our sweetie every day.
