It
is my pleasure to introduce everyone to Smudge, the four-month-old
Sphynx kitten! I have suffered with allergies to cats for all my life.
After researching the breed for over a year we found a very wonderful
loving breeder in Iowa, where we then found the love of our life,
Smudge!! His stunning blue eyes won me over the second I saw his picture
on the web site. I contacted the breeder and lo and behold, he now
resides with my family in Louisville, Kentucky.
Smudge is such the little character. He is a huge purr box, the moment
we got him off the plane, he started purring, which is amazing due to
the five-hour plane ride for a baby kitty must have to be horrifying. But
not to Smudge. He is such a brave little baldy. Being a sphynx, he's so
true to the breed, very outgoing and very loving. When he is not curled
up in my lap or on my chest or shoulder, his hobbies include the
following: walking on a leash, swimming in the bathtub or toilet (he's
very sneaky), attacking the t.V., Going for car rides, tormenting the
dogs and bird, playing with wadded up paper balls, and did I mention,
going to the vet. Yes, you read right, he loves going to the vets
office. Smudge is a big favorite of all the vets and tech. He jumps on
the counters and steals there pens, chases the dogs and stalks the
pictures on the walls! He's such a goof ball.
Smudge has a huge passion for licking and grooming furry blankets, we
think its because he doesn't have any fur of his own, . Over all, we
think Smudge is the best cat in the world and being bald makes him even
more special! He has made me dream of owning a cat come true and for
that I owe him the world!! Hopefully in the near future we will be
adding another beautiful Sphynx to our family, and definitely will be
going back to Angelic Sphynx cattery to get another awesome cat!! For
anyone with allergies to cats, I highly recommend the sphynx but please
please read up on the breed and get familiar with them first. They're
great little cats or half dog half monkey in a cat suite I should say!
