Katelyn
(a.k.a. "Fluff Butt") came into my life on 9/11/02 as a stray
who needed a good home. Although she is not a pure breed cat, we call
her a "Min Coon" because we think that she looks like a Maine Coon, but
she is a miniature version at only nine pounds. Katelyn is a very loving cat
in her own way. She hates to be held or confined in any way, but she is
always willing to get scratches and pets. She always comes if you call
her name and if anyone snaps their fingers, she will come running to get pet.
Katelyn is the fifth of my brood of six and gets along pretty well with
everyone, but still has occasional spats with her sister, Chrissy, who
is the alpha cat. Katelyn thinks she should be alpha cat, but has never
been able to usurp Chrissy.
Katelyn doesn't like most kinds of cat toys, but she loves feathers.
She sometimes gets so into chasing the feather than she'll start to hiss
at it. Another one of Katelyn's favorite games is meowing at walls in
the middle of the night. Needless to say, this is not one of her most
endearing qualities, but we tolerate it and yell at her and she comes
for petting.
Katelyn has one of my good friends wrapped around her little paw. My
friend has the delusion that I will give Katelyn to her one day, but I
did leave Katelyn to her in my will just in case.
