Mina
was a rescue kitty; her mother was found abandoned with four
two-day-old kittens. A friend of mine took them in and raised them. When I
expressed interest in one of the kittens, my friend rushed Mina to me
even though she lives in Massachusetts and I live in Toronto. I have an
immigrant cat!
Mina likes a lap cuddle and to sleep across my knees at night when it's
cold. She begs for treats by grabbing my wrist, and jumps up on the
bathroom counter to demand a brushing. She's fairly timid with strangers
and hates loud noises, especially thunderstorms; but she loves sitting
on the window ledge and watching the apartment super work around the
outside of the building; he's told me he feels he's being critiqued!
Oh, and she comes when I whistle. No, really.
