Hi
there my name is Shakira, but everyone calls me Shaki or Shakpuss.
I'm a silver shaded chinchilla Persian, and was adopted by my mum when I
was two months old. She wanted me so badly that she came to see my mum
cat when she was pregnant with me and then again when I was two weeks
old. Although I am a pure breed and let's say it, I have a great
personality, my family love me as a member of the family and not as a
show cat. My dad, who is certainly not a cat lover has been seen doing
the unthinkable, playing and kissing me. Since I know this, every time
he comes near me I roll over my back for a belly rub and that seems to
do the trick. I also have two brothers at home who laugh at me each time
mum gives me a bath (which is one thing I hate). At night I love to
sleep with my eldest brother and cuddle up near his thighs to keep him
warm. My youngest brother, who is a real pest, chases me around but I
soon get my revenge every time I can. I just don't know why mum thinks
we are so alike!
I am strictly an indoor cat as mum thinks I might get kidnapped by
someone or by one of my many boyfriends, so I just sit on the windowsill
and watch life outside. Although I know it's for my own good I still
wish I was allowed outside. However, I forget all this when my brothers
come from school and give me lots of cuddles, kisses and playtime. My
favorite game is to chase marbles down the corridor and chase a torch
light endlessly. I also absolutely hate being brushed daily so I hiss at
my mum but she still doesn't give up. Otherwise I am a very playful,
loving and energetic cat. Not at all as they say here in Malta about us
Persians. When you have a Persian you own a rug with an intestine. How
offensive!!! To prove them wrong I am completely the opposite.
