Oakie
is a very special girl, a precious little "wobbler" who will never
be able to walk a straight line. Thanks to her mother having Distemper
while pregnant, Oakie suffers from neurological problems called
Cerebellar hypoplasia that severely affect her balance, and prevent her
from jumping or climbing at all.
But no one told Oakie she was different, and thanks to the Klamath
Falls, OR Friends of Pets, a no-kill cat shelter where she was taken as
a "stray", she now can live out a normal life. Oakie joins our several
other "special needs" cats & kittens - to us they're just extra special
to love. Look at her - could you resist? Her and her "siblings" needs
are merely a little different from normal cats - the fact they're
missing a leg, are blind, wobbly or deaf is just an excuse to give them
some extra love.
