This
is my handsome boy, Pete. I adopted him from the county shelter
here in Los Angeles in April of 2005. His previous owners had moved and
left him at the shelter. To this day, I can't understand why they gave
him away! He's extremely friendly, and loves attention. Whenever I sit
on the couch, he comes and snuggles with me, and if I don't pet him
right away he puts his paw on my arm as if to say "Hey! I'm here! Pay
attention to me!" He's extremely well behaved with visitors and in new
situations - I took him to visit my parents over this past Christmas
break and he had no problems on the plane and loved staying with my
family. He was even polite around my family's black lab!
Pete enjoys sunning himself, watching birdies outside the window (no
outside adventures for this kitty), chasing string toys and scratchies
behind his ears and on his chin. He doesn't like the Dustbuster or the
vacuum cleaner, but other than that he is very easy going and sweet. He
is an excellent companion, and he's really turned me into a cat person!
