We
adopted Toonses a year and a half ago from the Humane Society. All
the other cats were walking around their cages meowing and sticking
their paws out but Toonses was all curled up pretending to sleep with
her paw over her face but her eyes were open. She was trying to hide
from us. She was just too cute so we had to adopt her. We have no idea
what her life was like before we adopted her but she was declawed on all
four paws and spayed so someone had her for sure!!
Toonses is not your average cat. She is not interested in playing, she
does not jump up on the furniture. She is an indoor cat but when we
bring her out in the backyard in her harness she just sits there for
hours watching all the birds and squirrels. A bird could hop right by
her face and she would not bat an eye. She is just very calm and quiet
and that suits us just fine but she does always give a little
"Brrrrrrpp" if you ask her a question or touch her.
When she wants to eat, she sits in the doorway of the kitchen staring
you down until you come to add a bit more food to the bowl, however, she
won't eat unless you pet her while she is eating!!!
She brightens up our days and we can't wait to get home where she greets
us with a huge stretch and a leg rub!
