This
is our fuzzy ball of love Siko (pronounced See-ko), aka Siko Boy!
Siko's previous owner says that 'siko' means "crying baby". And let me
tell you Siko sure lives up to his name!! In the picture is Siko's
"baby", as we like to call it. He was raised with a Bull Mastiff puppy
from the previous owner and displays many characteristics of a dog!! We
put him on a harness and leash and walk him outside occasionally! He
likes to play fetch too. He'll carry the 'baby' around in his mouth and
after we've gone to bed and he'll just start howling and crying, as if
he's lost or can't find us!! We call his name so he knows we're still
there, and he'll jump up on the bed with lots of kisses, purrs, and
cuddles. I think the baby is his security blanket, sort of like Linus on
the Peanuts cartoons!!
One thing that makes Siko unique is that his stripes are completely and
perfectly symmetrical! The tips of the fur are a white color, his belly
is a reddish-brown color and upon first sight of him he almost looks
like a wild animal, like a fox. He has white fur on his throat and back
feet, but something unique about Siko is that only the very tips of his
front toes are white. It looks like he just dipped them into some
whipped cream!!
Siko lives with us in Florida with his kid "sister" Miko (pronounced
Mee-ko). The name Miko is a variation of a Japanese word that means
'eyes', perfectly fitting because she's completely black and all you see
of her in a dark space is her bright yellow eyes! Siko and Miko love to
play with their fuzzy mice, bottle caps, and pieces of balled up paper.
They don't need any expensive toys, they enjoy the cheap ones better it
seems. They spend endless hours together cleaning, sleeping, and playing
not only with each other but with their humans too! Every time I walk in
the door I always look forward to it. I know there's going to be some
very lovey kitties inside waiting! They are great pets, actually they're
more like family members.
