This
is Blackie the cat. She strayed into us when she was a kitten in
Summer 2004. Even though Blackie is an outside cat and she has her own
house outside with a nice cat bed, she still sneaks into the house in
winter. She is very good at hiding - behind furniture, under beds,
behind the couch. Once day we were going in the car and when we looked
into the back seat, there she was all curled up asleep - she had sneaked
in earlier when someone left the door open.
She is in a bit of trouble at the moment as she is a good bird catcher
and has caught a few wild birds. No matter how many different collars we
put on her with a bell to frighten the birds she still manages to bite
it off in a few hours. We have found her collars discarded all over the
place but at least when she is trying to get it off, the birds are safe.
Blackie is a very playful cat and loves to roll around the carpet and
play with her catnip pet mice that she got for Christmas. She also
likes climbing trees. She is friendly to her other cat friend Domino who
comes to visit her every now and again.
She is very cute and her fur is very soft to touch and she likes nothing
better than to curl up and be rubbed on the head.
