Sher
Khan is a Tonkinese male born July 1991 and is a real love. Comes
when his name is called, curls up in bed and lays his head on my arm
when asked to lie down and go to sleep.
What can I tell you all about Khan? Khan acts more like a dog than a
cat, Khan's affection is boundless, he loves everyone. He does no
tricks, oh wait! I make "whatcha-gots" for him, a "whatcha-got" is a pipe
cleaner curled around my little finger making a spiral, I throw them
and Khan rips them apart and returns them for repair and re-toss.
Khans biggest asset is that he is not an aloof cat, he is really
interested in what you are doing or trying to convey to him. When I am
on the computer, Khan will either sit on the open windowsill or guest
chair switching his attention between the outside and inside happenings,
and occasionally vocalizing his thoughts.
At bedtime I'll call "Sheerrrrrr Khannnnnnn, bed time!" and here he
comes, jumps into bed, does his "let's see where I want to settle down"
act. I extend my arm across the bed., Khan comes up, does a circle,
then plops down and snuggles into my arm. It's at this time I know I'm
safe for the evening - no Lions; Tigers or Giraffes would dare venture
forth.
Doesn't sound very exciting, but it is when you are party to Khans'
world. He is the best.
