When
I heard that a farmer was giving away cats I drove over to pick one
up. I first saw Maggie trying to climb up into a dog's food bowl,
and too tiny to quite reach up but determined nonetheless, she stole my
heart. I took the little fur-ball home and soon after she became very
sick. That was such a scary time and I spent a lot of it at home nursing
her back to health. That was a time of bonding for us and luckily, since
then, she has only been sick once.
Maggie is very charming and knows how to work a crowd. She is more than
happy to lie on her back and let you scratch her belly at a moment's
notice. She likes the company of others and quite often is near me
wherever I go. She also loves the outdoors and you can find her sitting
under the daylilies, chasing butterflies around the yard or
sipping water from the birdbath, but if I walk outside and she sees me,
she'll come galloping over to say hi. She's just a very sweet cat!
