We
recently lost a sweet cat to cancer, whom we adopted as a stray twelve
years ago, and felt it was time to fill the void and find a new mate for
our little female six-year old cat. We wanted to adopt an adult cat
that needed a 'forever' home, so I starting searching on the Pet Finder
website. When I went to see the cat that I thought I would adopt at the
animal shelter, this sweet-faced boy came running up to me immediately,
kept rubbing his head on me and purring. It was love at first sight and
I ended up adopting him instead! I do still feel sad about leaving the
other cats behind including the one that I went to see.
Archie is such a sweet natured, affectionate cat. He is very friendly
with everyone, including his new sister who is still not sure she wants
to play with him, but will allow nose sniffing and following each other
around. He chirps when he wants to tell you something and loves to hang
out in our gardens. We named him after my niece's cat who also passed
away recently and was very similar in appearance and personality, so his
name is really Archie II. We are so happy that we adopted him as he is a
special, handsome boy and I'm madly in love with him.
