Foxie
is the world's best cat, at least to me! I found her one day
shortly after my cat, Glue, who was also a female calico, died. I was
so elated to have a new cat that looked so much like Glue. I thought it
was such a miracle. She was standoffish at first, but with a little tuna
fish, I managed to make fast friends with her.
After I had her for about a year, a lady drove past my house when I was
working in the yard and asked me how long I had my cat. I told her, and
she told me that she was from a nearby neighborhood and that my cat was
her cat, Kelly. She said Kelly had disappeared about a year ago after
they got a new puppy. Apparently, Foxie did not like this new family
member and came to live with me. My neighbor was so happy that Foxie
had a good home and was alive and well, and I was grateful that I didn't
have to give her back.
Foxie spends most of her day sleeping or trying to find a new place to
sleep. She has other siblings, three ferrets, another cat and a dog.
She hasn't warmed up to the other animals as much as I hoped, but she
tolerates them and is good to them even when the dog chases her around
the yard. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle with me on the couch when
I am watching TV or play with her pop toy.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful cat, and I hope she is with me
for many years to come!
