About Us
Kona, the Cat of the Day
Name: Kona
Age: Five years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic shorthair
Home: Bellingham, Washington, USA

Kona was the last of a litter of kittens that a neighbor was trying to find homes for. He was three months old. The day before, we had just decided to adopt another stray and thought that the two could be companions. Though we say's he's a Domestic shorthair, one vet we took him to thought he might have some "exotic" in him, like Burmese. He has a brownish-red undercoat.

He thinks that humans are very easy to train. Kona trained us to be his elevator. We bend down, he'll jump on to our shoulders, we stand up, and then he jumps on up to wherever he wanted (the closet top shelf, for example). To come down, we just put an arm up to the shelf for him and he then "walks" down our arm back to our shoulder where we then lower him closer to the ground.

He has the most melodic meow/chirp that I've ever heard. He is one of the most handsome, intelligent cats I've ever owned. I hope you like him. We sure do!
