This
is Kailie, the joy and pride of my life. She is the protector of my
property; no bird, mouse or other domesticated animal is safe when
entering into it when she is on guard.
She was born on a farm on July 5, 1993 in rural Alberta and immigrated
to the city two months after she was born. I adopted her from a friend who
could not handle her antics. From the first time I met her she captured
my heart. Unknown to me at the time, she would become my best friend and
companion.
It is a privilege to have such an intelligent and intuitive friend in my
life on a daily basis. When I am sick, she will lie on my stomach and
mew and purr all day while I suffer as if she suffers with me. She
greets me at the door as a faithful friend when I come home from work.
She asks nothing more of me than to be fed and acknowledge her daily,
which is an easy task. Because she gives me so much in return.
My Kailie is a relief to me daily, from the stresses of life. And
refocuses me back to that which is most important in life. Family,
friendship and caring for others...
I know that there is a very special place in heaven for these very
special pets that we are all privileged to know and care for in our
lives. I want to honor her for being in my life as a faithful companion.
She is my best friend.
