Gracie
is a very special girl with many talents. I adopted her while I
was still recovering from the loss of my special boy cat Cody. Cody died
at age fifteen after suffering from diabetes for three years. Adopting
kitten Gracie was a shock to my system. I wasn't used to a kitten that
could run faster then the speed of sound or could leap over tall sofas
in a single bound. After living with an old cat for so long I had
forgotten what kittens were like. It was during this time that Gracie
was given the middle name, Rocket.
Gracie's favorite toys are plastic garbage bag ties and that band you
rip off of milk containers. She enjoys hiding these under the blankets
on my bed and hunting for them. Many a night, I have turned over onto
something plastic while I was sleeping, ouch! Gracie also tries very
hard to cover up her business in the litter box but no matter how long
she works at it, she never comes close to covering it up. Her sister
will come along afterwards and do it for her.
Gracie is a silly, lovable, friendly little girl who makes me laugh
every day. She was a gift that helped me through the loss of Cody as
well as the loss of my mom and later my sister. I don't know what I
would have done without my little silly Gracie girl to hug.
