This
is my new kitten Athena (named after the goddess of war and wisdom.
Nicknamed "Grey eyes"). About a week ago I went to a friend's house to
baby-sit their kids. Little did I know that there cat had had a litter
of kittens. Once the kids where in bed and sleeping I brought all three
of them in the house to watch TV. They where the sweetest. One was
fluffy and very gentle and one was short haired and very playful. Then
there was my baby she was tiny and scared. When I went home that night I
knew I had to have one of those kittens. So I talked with my family and
two days later we went to pick one up. Everybody was sure I would take
the fluffy cute gentle one. But the little one kept pulling me back. I
knew I had to have her. She needed special care and I wanted to give it
to her.
When we got home after going for a vet check up, I thought that
she would be terrified. I was wrong! I put her in her box and she started
to eat. I think since she was the runt she didn't get very much food.
After that she fell asleep in my arms. I think she is happy so be a
single kitten cause she gets all the love and snuggles to herself. She
has really warmed up. She is not very scared anymore and is the sweetest
thing. She sleeps well through the night, and wakes up purring. For the
little time we have been together she has become my baby. I could go on
for pages but to sum up Athena is a very special little kitty.
