My
name is Saxo, also known as Le Fat, and I'm French. I was rather
portly when I came to my new home, two years ago. Before that, I had a
nice mummy but she had a baby and that didn't work out too well with me,
then I spent a bad night in a sort of prison until my new daddy came to
collect me. I think I bit him (I feel a bit ashamed about that) but he
took me anyway and made room for me in his house where I found a new
sister and brother. The house has a garden! I'd never seen grass before.
Now the whole street and all the neighboring gardens belong to me and I
take my work, patrolling and guarding the area, very seriously. I like
to feel safe and I climb into bags, boxes and baskets to sleep - that's
why daddy thought I would like a kennel and gave me a large, cosy one
where I can take my naps and keep watch when I'm outdoors. What I'd
really like is to sleep in daddy's car, I slip into it whenever I get
the chance.
I'm now very slim, strong and athletic at seven kilos, as you can see
from my picture. I love eating, running and jumping very high to catch
snowballs in winter, listening to classical music which helps me sleep
... and my mummy, who calls me her "Beau Boy." I also love Melba, the
Girl-cat next Door, who is grey with big fluffy trousers. She comes to
call for me and then we chase each other around and play all day.
