Ginger
is a sweet girl I adopted from the shelter last year. She has
many nicknames such as Snuggle Buns, Love Muffin, Furry, Ging and The
Ging. I was looking for a cat to keep my fourteen-year-old Maine Coon /
Persian mix company and thought Ginger would be the one. They have not
totally hit it off, but they tolerate each other. Ginger loves to play
with her toys and run around the house back and forth. She is not a cat
that likes treats, but she always wants to sniff them when I hand out
the treats to my other cat, Manning.
Ginger likes to find cozy places to sleep, such as the baby's bassinet
or her barnyard gym. Baby has two more weeks before she makes her
appearance into this world, so in the meantime I have to hide her stuff
from Ginger. Ginger loves to snuggle for five minutes in the morning and in
the evening before retiring to the chair next to the bed for her sleep.
Ginger loves to snuggle when I nap and must get constant love or she
will meow at you until you pet her. I have a tree outside my bedroom
window and Ginger loves to sit in the window and watch all the birds
that frequent the tree. She also likes to chase bugs out on the patio.
I cannot imagine dropping off this wonderful bundle of joy at a shelter,
but it was meant to be that we came together. I hope that my new baby
and Ginger will get along and make a peaceful transition!
