Here's
Shelby, all ready for Mardi Gras! We sometimes also call her
"Squeaky," because she has a squeaky meow. She has never met a lap she
didn't like. Her favorite toy is a "Flying Rooster" stick-and-thong
arrangement that she enjoys dragging around -- she likes to grab the
furry tail and run up and down the stairs with the stick dragging
behind. (It makes an amazing racket!) She also doesn't mind if we
dress her up, at least a little, as you can see. She enjoys sleeping in
her heated cat bed with her best friend, Ranger.
But most of all she enjoys riding on peoples' shoulders. She'll hang on
tight as the humans walk her around the house. Her official name, by the
way, is "Grand Champion Compass Rose Ivory River" - Compass Rose is
the cattery name. But she's just Shelby around here!
