Wyatt
turned two years old in October. He and his older brother Zane get
along so well with each other, and it's a joy to watch them play
together. Both of them are leash trained, and when I come home from
work - right after they eat, they want to go for their walks. We keep
their leases in one of the kitchen drawers, and if I should open that
drawer, they will run to me from wherever they are in the house. Since
Wyatt is a Maine Coon, he is a very large cat. When he stands up on his
hind legs, he can reach the doorknob on the front door. Recently my
husband and I noticed him trying to turn the doorknob with his paws!! So
far he has been unsuccessful - but, we decided that we'd better keep the
door locked just in case he gets better at this. He also uses his paws
like little hands. Wyatt will eat with his hands - scooping up his food
and licking his fingers. He will sometimes hold things between his "thumb"
and "index finger."
When people see Wyatt, they are a little intimated at first because of
his size, but they soon realize that he is the most gentlest of cats.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have this sweet little boy in
our lives!!
