Jake
is our second bengal. He is seven months old and weighs 11 1/2 pounds!
I'm allergic to cats and these don't do anything to my allergies! Before
our first cat, Hunter, I was never a big fan of cats... maybe because of
my allergies. He is pictured here at just four months old.
We got Jake from a breeder in west Florida. I was looking at the website
for another bengal kitten or maybe a Savannah kitten and Jake was
pictured. Under the picture was some information on him. His previous
owner had gotten very ill and could no longer take care of the little
kitten. We thought about it for less than a day and drove over to the west
coast of Florida the next morning and purchased our new addition to our
family. He meowed the whole three-hour ride home. I showed interest
in Bengals after we found out our fist cat's father weighed about 25
pounds and his mom was fifteen pounds! I thought it would be a different
kind of pet, and they sure are! Jake is very smart and after doing
something he shouldn't have done I can just be coming home and look at his
face and just know! Then I have to start looking around! He is so playful
and has energy for days. He's a really playful guy and very affectionate.
He also loves beating up on his older brother, Hunter. Here is a picture
