Hello!
My name is Floyd! My daddy gave me that silly name when I
showed up on his doorstep at ten weeks old, but mommy says I have grown
into it! I am a big old Tom cat, weighing in at twenty pounds. My hanging
tummy swings back and forth when I chase my play mice down the hallway,
but that's okay. It doesn't bother me, but it does make mom laugh. My
favorite pastime in the whole world is eating my brother and sister's
food! It doesn't really matter to me that they eat the same thing as I
do. The minute one of them finishes, I abandon my own food, even if
there is some left, and go eat theirs. It just tastes better! My best
friend in the whole world, Dexter, doesn't care if I steal his food, but
my sister, Jasmine doesn't like it one bit. She growls, hisses, swipes,
and screams at me, but I just sit down and wait for her to walk away.
And then I pounce!
My mom and dad love me so much that they even remodeled their living
room to match the color of my eyes! Just look at this great chair they
bought! It matches my eyes perfectly! Mom and dad have also provided
me, Dexter, and Jasmine (also Red Tabbies) with thirteen cat trees in the
house, lots of windows to watch birds, a cat colony outside that they
feed, so we can watch them, raccoons and opossums! When I was outside I
was the ultimate hunter, nabbing birds, rats, lizards, and even a
hummingbird. Mom wasn't too happy about that one and made me drop it!
But she loves me very much and I thank her every day by letting her comb
me, scratch me, rub me all over, and give me love whenever I ask for it
(which, by the way, is whenever I can get her attention!).
I am one lucky and loved cat!!!
