Meet Munchkin. He is a cat that is so full of life and zip, but that is not how he started out. I found him one cold October morning when I was out for a walk. He came out from under a bush and met me on the sidewalk. When I looked down at him I could not believe that this was a cat that I was looking at. He was horribly starved and had been abused.

I took him home and tried to help him. A couple of days later he was getting sicker and weaker and I thought it would be more humane to have him put to sleep. While the vet was getting the shot, the little tiny cat stood up and wrapped his paws around my neck and touched my nose. That was it, he melted my heart and I could not do it. So home he came.

The vet said he was full-grown but he only weighed three pounds. His mouth was a mess and he could not eat, as someone must have kicked him in the head. He was so congested and his nose was plugged shut. He was treated for severe upper respiratory problems and was fed with an eyedropper until he got strong enough to have 6 teeth pulled. He almost died a couple of times, but this little cat had such a will to live. Today he is much healthier and a happy cat.

Munchkin's favorite activities to do are to carry his red beaded necklace around the house, wing his dry food out of the bowl and chase it all over the kitchen floor, and race to through the house with a fluffed up razor back and take a corner on two paws doing 60 miles an hour. His all time favorite thing to do is knock everything off the computer desk, end table or nightstand to get my attention. He makes me laugh every day with some of the things he does. When he gets tired, he will follow me around the house and will cry and cry until I pick him up. He wants a warm lap to take a nap on.

He is spoiled rotten and I love him.
