Callie's
dad loves her so much that he made two cat ledges for the
screened-in back porch. She likes to bask in the sun whenever she gets
a chance. She's afraid of so many things and her hiding spot is in the
guest bathroom under the double sink. She is so good at opening doors
that when she hears the doorbell ring, her tail is already disappearing
under the sink! Even in warm weather, Callie likes to crawl under the
covers with mom to read. She and her cousin Mac have definite nighttime
"duties" consisting of a good tussle, a run down the hallway, and then
they both find a good spot for the night. She likes to run ahead of us
and fall over and then get a good tummy rub and back scratch as she
scoots around the floor on her side - sometimes completing a circle!
Callie and her cousin Mac like to be shown numerous times each day where
the food bowl is - like they could ever forget! Both Callie and her
cousin Mac came to us with declawed front paws - but she still uses the
cat scratching post to get in a good stretch! Callie and her cousin Mac
were both born in North Carolina and were with their first parents from
six months of age. When their parents had a baby boy, who was allergic to
cats, the cats had to go (we didn't understand this because the cats
were there first!). They spent part of a North Carolina summer in a
garage with access to the outdoors. We have seen the former parents at
weddings and baby showers, and assure them both cats are fine.
