Fannie
Louise is currently one year old, but at the time of the photo
about two months old. Fannie is my little life-saver. I was inconsolable
after the unexpected loss of my eight-year-old cat, Jerry. I realized I
would need a kitten in my life to force me to move on. Fannie was
listed in the newspaper as being at a pet grooming place and I drove
over expecting a white calico, as that was how she was listed. To my
surprise she was a black calico, or tortoise shell, but I fell in love
with her.
Fannie is a talker! Even from the first day she came to my home, she'd
let her opinion be known on everything. She's a very affectionate girl.
She got the Louise part of her name, being named after a good friend of
mine who always told me stories of her orneriness in her young days.
When I got Fannie I still had an elderly sixteen-year-old male cat. At first
he was not a happy camper about the intruder but in no time at all she
won him over, even to the point he shared his beloved meat food with
her! Everyone who meets her thinks she's special.
