When
we first got Tilly she was eight weeks old, she was doing fine for
the first few days. Then five days later, she began to look sick and
she would vomit often. A few days later on my 10th birthday we took her
to a vet because we were really worried about her, the vet said she
would need operation at a cost of about £500, and so we took her home
because we couldn't afford that price. Later my Grandma phoned up and
suggested that we take her back to her mum, so we did only to find that
her mum had since died in an accident. Luckily another cat on the farm
had also had kittens so was able to feed her. The people who owned the
farm cared for her and gave her sugared water through a syringe and two
weeks later we were able to bring her back to our house (and she had
never needed an operation at all!) Tilly has been fine since and hadn't
been to the vets in ages (except for injections) until about two months
ago. She gave birth to four gorgeous kittens (you can only see a few of
them in this photo). They were all fit and strong and we gave them away
to nice homes.
Tilly then got some peace and quiet, and Tilly went for her operation to
stop her having kittens anymore. She was very brave. When we brought her
home she wasn't hungry, so she went straight up onto my bed and stayed
there all night. By breakfast she had found her appetite back, after
breakfast she went straight back onto my bed! We are glad when she was
feeling better. We all love Tilly.
