Newton
distinguished himself from the first moment we met him with his loud
voice. It's amazing that a kitten so small could have a voice so big! When
we picked him up, Newton used that voice to express his displeasure at being
separated from his brothers and sisters. Fortunately after an hour or so,
his loud meows changed to loud purrs until he fell asleep in his new mommy's
arms.
Newton spends his days trying to coax his older adoptive brother Cicero out
of retirement, much to Cicero's chagrin. After some initial tension, Newton
seems to have charmed his way into Cicero's heart. Perhaps he's bribed
Cicero with some of his high-fat kitten food?
Newton is very careful to spread affection to both Mommy and Daddy.
He'll spend five minutes on Mommy's lap, move over to cuddle with Daddy,
only to return to Mommy's lap a few minutes later. He's got a lot of
love to share and is conscientious about doing so!
