Clarence
was a housewarming gift from my aunt. I had just bought my
first house and was telling my aunt that it was almost too quiet in the
house. I was mulling over the idea of a dog - the fenced in backyard
was perfect - but my schedule was not. My aunt, unbeknownst to me, was
already searching local animal shelters for the perfect kitty. One
Sunday, she told me to meet her at the animal shelter, and she had a
surprise for me. I was thinking dog and instead Clarence was there
ready to be taken home. He was quite a surprise and has been the
perfect buddy since. My aunt is slowly turning all of us 'dog lovers'
into 'cat lovers' as well!
There are many great things about Clarence but the best trait is that he
acts more like a dog than a cat. He greats everyone at the door, he
plays fetch and he commands attention whenever people are over. He is
teaching all of these same traits to his brother Stanley as well. I
could not ask for a better buddy!
