This
is Miss Tucker. She was chosen for me by my niece and given to me
by my sister on my birthday. I couldn't be happier! Tucker lives with me
and her two big brothers Larry & Fremont, The Boys. The Boys were about
ten years old when Tucker came to live with us. Larry took to her almost
right away ... playing with her, sleeping with her, and holding her down
to wash the kitten cooties off her. Fremont took much longer to accept
her, but they finally bonded over a mutual love of cardboard boxes and
now they are buddies too. The Boys have always been playful and Tucker
encourages their playfulness, so they get lots of exercise.
Tucker was twelve weeks old in this picture. She's a year old now and still
a bundle of energy. Anything can become a toy for her. Her favorite toy
is the feather on a stick, which she will chase as long as someone pulls
it around for her. If you throw it across the room, she drags it back
over to you. She plays fetch with all her toys. Other favorite
activities aside from chasing and wrestling with The Boys include
tunneling under throw rugs, helping me make beds, playing in and chewing
on cardboard boxes, playing tent with newspapers, climbing into the
empty dishwasher, and ambushing me and her brothers at every
opportunity. She has become an expert insect assassin and spends hours
on the deck determined to rid it of all insects, flying or otherwise.
She also loves water and is fascinated by faucets and toilets. She even
attempts to get in the shower stall with me in the morning. Tucker
absolutely loves everyone and thinks anyone who visits is here solely to
play with her, demanding to be petted and played with immediately.
Tucker is a joy to have around.
